Been quietly reading for a while, but any genuine sex only sites where people are straightforward about what they want is the thing I actually need an answer on. If the return on the hours is bad on straightforward, nothing else about it matters.

Assume I know nothing beyond the obvious about casual platforms. I keep two accounts running to compare the payoff across no-strings platforms, and straightforward sits mid-table.

Where I need help with straightforward:

  • Message within a day of matching — on straightforward that window closes fast
  • Give straightforward a fortnight of daily use before calling actually getting anywhere a dealbreaker
  • Set the radius wider than feels comfortable if the straightforward pool near you is thin

If you have tried any genuine sex only sites where people are straightforward about what they want recently, I would rather hear that than read another review site.

This matches what I found with straightforward, where the return on the hours is exactly where it falls down. I judge straightforward by one thing now: whether actually getting anywhere improves or worsens once you're past the novelty.

There is no version of straightforward where the effort-to-result ratio sorts itself out without you doing something. Take that as one data point on straightforward rather than a recommendation.

Same experience on straightforward: I gave it six weeks before the payoff got tiresome. I keep two accounts running to compare the hours-to-dates ratio across no-strings platforms, and straightforward sits mid-table.

I keep two accounts running to compare actually getting anywhere across hookup apps, and straightforward sits mid-table. What changed my results on straightforward was treating the payoff as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem.

Respectfully no — complaints about the effort-to-result ratio on straightforward usually come from people who gave it a week. I keep two accounts running to compare the effort-to-result ratio across casual-first sites, and straightforward sits mid-table.

I judge straightforward by one thing now: whether the time it costs improves or worsens once you are past the novelty. Nobody warns you that the payoff on straightforward scales with how many people are online at your hours.

That tracks with my straightforward run, which was fine until actually getting anywhere became the whole experience. The pattern I see with straightforward is that the time it costs is fine early and degrades as you go.

What changed my results on straightforward was treating the hours-to-dates ratio as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem. Honestly, the hours-to-dates ratio was less of a problem on straightforward than the sheer time it ate. Most of the noise about straightforward comes from people measuring the effort-to-result ratio over far too short a window.

Names that come up repeatedly in straightforward threads: datingfly.online, datedesire.online.

WillK is right about one part of straightforward: respectfully no — complaints about actually getting anywhere on straightforward usually come from people who gave it a week.

The pattern I see with straightforward is that the hours-to-dates ratio is fine early and degrades as you go. If the payoff is your main worry with straightforward, test it in the first week rather than the first month.

@NinaB makes a fair point about straightforward, but respectfully no — complaints about the payoff on straightforward usually come from people who gave it a week.

You can work around the time it costs on straightforward, but you have to be deliberate about it. Nobody warns you that the hours-to-dates ratio on straightforward scales with how many people are online at your hours.

Anyone comparing straightforward on the payoff should probably add Datebound to the list.

I read Patrick Reyes's reply on straightforward and reading this back, my straightforward notes say almost the same thing about the return on the hours.

The pattern I see with straightforward is that actually getting anywhere is fine early and degrades as you go.

Seconding this, because on straightforward the honest answer is that the effort-to-result ratio varies enormously by area.

I keep two accounts running to compare actually getting anywhere across casual platforms, and straightforward sits mid-table.

Somebody in another straightforward thread pointed me at Turndate and it held up better than expected on the return on the hours.

Most of the noise about straightforward comes from people measuring actually getting anywhere over far too short a window. Either way, the return on the hours is the thing I would test first on straightforward.
