We use cookies for basic site function and aggregate analytics. Partner platforms you click through to set their own cookies under their own policies. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.

Some outbound links are commercial. Following one may pass a referral identifier to the destination site. What that site then collects is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.

Children

This service is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

Retention

Server logs are kept for ninety days and then discarded. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the matter it concerns, and then deleted. Aggregate analytics contain no data that identifies an individual and is retained indefinitely in that aggregate form.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for security logging and aggregate analytics, and on consent for any non-essential cookie. Where the CCPA applies, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we do not offer financial incentives in exchange for data.

International transfers

This site is served from a global content delivery network, so a request from one country may be answered by a server in another. Where personal data crosses a border, it is covered by the standard contractual clauses our providers operate under.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS enabled, and we set content-type, referrer and frame policies at the edge. No payment data is collected anywhere on this site, because nothing on it is chargeable.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a revised date at the top. We do not notify by email, because we do not hold a mailing list.
