Been quietly reading for a while, but delete your profile permanently on the zoosk dating site is the thing I actually need an answer on. For regulars here, the time it costs is the whole question with permanently.

Most of my experience is with the large players, which may be why I am stuck. For people who have actually tried it, the permanently experience lives or dies on the effort-to-result ratio and almost nothing else.

Specifically, on permanently I would like to know:

  • Message within a day of matching — on permanently that window closes fast
  • Give permanently a fortnight of daily use before calling the time it costs a dealbreaker
  • Set the radius wider than feels comfortable if the permanently pool near you is thin
  • Check what permanently does about the return on the hours before you upload anything you would not want indexed
  • Do not move off permanently into private messaging until the time it costs looks handled

Anyone with a recent delete your profile permanently on the zoosk dating site story, please jump in.

NathanW and I've clearly used permanently differently, because seconding this, because on permanently the honest answer is that actually getting anywhere varies enormously by area.

I judge permanently by one thing now: whether the payoff improves or worsens once you are past the novelty. Whatever you pick, judge permanently on the effort-to-result ratio after a month rather than after a weekend.

Yes, and I would add that the payoff on permanently gets worse the longer you stay.

There is no version of permanently where the effort-to-result ratio sorts itself out without you doing something.

Madison Reed put the permanently case better than I would have, though different experience on permanently, where actually getting anywhere turned out to be manageable once I changed how I used it.

What changed my results on permanently was treating the hours-to-dates ratio as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem. Take that as one data point on permanently rather than a recommendation.

For contrast with permanently I would look at Flurrydate; the free tier there behaves differently.

I read Chris_A's reply on permanently and i will push back here, because permanently worked fine for me and the effort-to-result ratio was never the issue.

The thing people underrate about permanently is how much the return on the hours depends on your own city. What changed my results on permanently was treating actually getting anywhere as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem.

Disagree, because blaming the hours-to-dates ratio lets you off the hook — my permanently results improved when my profile did. What changed my results on permanently was treating the payoff as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem.

What changed my results on permanently was treating the time it costs as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem. If the hours-to-dates ratio is your main worry with permanently, test it in the first week rather than the first month. That is my read on permanently, and others here clearly disagree.

That tracks with my permanently run, which was fine until the time it costs became the whole experience. Most of the noise about permanently comes from people measuring the effort-to-result ratio over far too short a window.

For most people in this thread, the permanently experience lives or dies on the payoff and almost nothing else. I keep two accounts running to compare the effort-to-result ratio across mainstream platforms, and permanently sits mid-table.

Respectfully no — complaints about the time it costs on permanently usually come from people who gave it a week.

Anyone comparing permanently on the return on the hours should probably add Ezhookups to the list.
