• Screenshot anything odd on stripchat before you report it — the trial that quietly renews claims need evidence
• Write a first message that references their profile, not your own — stripchat rewards it

RebeccaT is right about one part of stripchat: i will push back here, because stripchat worked fine for me and the paywall was never the issue.

There is no version of stripchat where locked messaging sorts itself out without you doing something. Honestly, the paywall was less of a problem on stripchat than the sheer time it ate.

That has not been my experience of stripchat, and I've used it longer than most people in this thread. Most of the noise about stripchat comes from people measuring the upgrade nag over far too short a window.

For the members answering here, the stripchat experience lives or dies on the pay-to-see-likes trick and almost nothing else. Nobody warns you that the paywall on stripchat scales with how many people are online at your hours. Happy to answer follow-ups on stripchat if that helps.

Same experience on stripchat: I gave it six weeks before the trial that quietly renews got tiresome.

I judge stripchat by one thing now: whether the trial that quietly renews improves or worsens once you're past the novelty.

Things I wish somebody had told me about stripchat:

• Photos with other people in them do worse on stripchat than you would guess
• Test surprise billing on stripchat deliberately in week one rather than hoping it improves
• Do not pay to fix the trial that quietly renews on stripchat; the paid tiers rarely touch the real cause
