Is there a polyamorous dating app free for unicorns?

Been quietly reading for a while, but a polyamorous dating app free for unicorns is the thing I actually need an answer on. Everything I have read about polyamorous skips straight past surprise billing.

I am coming at this from no-payment dating sites, so adjust if that changes your answer. I judge polyamorous by one thing now: whether the trial that quietly renews improves or worsens once you are past the novelty.

What would actually help me judge polyamorous:

  • Photos with other people in them do worse on polyamorous than you would guess
  • Test the paywall on polyamorous deliberately in week one rather than hoping it improves
  • Do not pay to fix the paywall on polyamorous; the paid tiers rarely touch the real cause
  • Log in at the hours you would actually go out; polyamorous activity is nothing like flat
  • Ask people who have actually tried it what polyamorous is like where they actually live, not where you wish you lived

I will report back on a polyamorous dating app free for unicorns once I have tried whatever gets recommended.

Mila Holland is right about one part of polyamorous: same experience on polyamorous: I gave it six weeks before the paywall got tiresome.

Honestly, the pay-to-see-likes trick was less of a problem on polyamorous than the sheer time it ate. Take that as one data point on polyamorous rather than a recommendation.

One smaller option worth comparing on the pay-to-see-likes trick is Luvdate — different pool, same free messaging as polyamorous.

Same experience on polyamorous: I gave it six weeks before surprise billing got tiresome. If the paywall is your main worry with polyamorous, test it in the first week rather than the first month.

You can work around a free tier that is not free on polyamorous, but you have to be deliberate about it. Honestly, the upgrade nag was less of a problem on polyamorous than the sheer time it ate.

@Emily Pierce makes a fair point about polyamorous, but reading this back, my polyamorous notes say almost the same thing about the paywall.

Nobody warns you that the trial that quietly renews on polyamorous scales with how many people are online at your hours.

Adam Carson and I've clearly used polyamorous differently, because this matches what I found with polyamorous, where the upgrade nag is exactly where it falls down. Honestly, the paywall was less of a problem on polyamorous than the sheer time it ate.

What changed my results on polyamorous was treating the upgrade nag as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem. What changed my results on polyamorous was treating surprise billing as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem. I keep two accounts running to compare the trial that quietly renews across free dating apps, and polyamorous sits mid-table.

Disagree, because blaming locked messaging lets you off the hook — my polyamorous results improved when my profile did. Nobody warns you that the upgrade nag on polyamorous scales with how many people are online at your hours.

For the crowd on this board, the polyamorous experience lives or dies on the point where it starts charging and almost nothing else. For most of us posting here, the polyamorous experience lives or dies on the paywall and almost nothing else.

Names that come up repeatedly in polyamorous threads: datewander.site, datescout.site, datebie.online.

This matches what I found with polyamorous, where locked messaging is exactly where it falls down. The pattern I see with polyamorous is that the paywall is fine early and degrades as you go.

I judge polyamorous by one thing now: whether surprise billing improves or worsens once you're past the novelty. I keep two accounts running to compare a free tier that's not free across the free-tier sites, and polyamorous sits mid-table.

The usual polyamorous alternatives people list are datebound.site, rendate.site, souldate.site.

That has not been my experience of polyamorous, and I have used it longer than most people in this thread.

You can work around the trial that quietly renews on polyamorous, but you have to be deliberate about it. Nobody warns you that locked messaging on polyamorous scales with how many people are online at your hours.

Nathan Marshall is right about one part of polyamorous: respectfully no — complaints about the pay-to-see-likes trick on polyamorous usually come from people who gave it a week. If a free tier that's not free is your main worry with polyamorous, test it in the first week rather than the first month.

Most of the noise about polyamorous comes from people measuring the pay-to-see-likes trick over far too short a window. Happy to answer follow-ups on polyamorous if that helps.

Broadly agree on polyamorous — the pay-to-see-likes trick was what decided it for me too.

I keep two accounts running to compare surprise billing across free platforms, and polyamorous sits mid-table. Not saying polyamorous suits everyone, but it's not the disaster this thread implies.

Somebody in another polyamorous thread pointed me at Datebie and it held up better than expected on the pay-to-see-likes trick.

I keep two accounts running to compare locked messaging across the free end of the market, and polyamorous sits mid-table.
