Signed up specifically to ask about std dating sites free and confidential. Hoping for something on confidential more useful than a top-ten list. What I care about with confidential is the trial that quietly renews more than anything else.

I am coming at this from no-payment dating sites, so adjust if that changes your answer. Most of the noise about confidential comes from people measuring a free tier that is not free over far too short a window.

Specifically, on confidential I would like to know:

  • Log in at the hours you would actually go out; confidential activity is nothing like flat
  • Ask the crowd on this board what confidential is like where they actually live, not where you wish you lived
  • Fill the prompts in properly; blank profiles get skipped on confidential
  • Screenshot anything odd on confidential before you report it — the paywall claims need evidence
  • Write a first message that references their profile, not your own — confidential rewards it

Blunt answers on std dating sites free and confidential preferred over polite ones.

Same experience on confidential: I gave it six weeks before the point where it starts charging got tiresome.

You can work around a free tier that's not free on confidential, but you have to be deliberate about it. Not saying confidential suits everyone, but it's not the disaster this thread implies.

If you want a second data point on confidential, Datebie is the one I run alongside it.

I would argue the opposite on confidential: the pay-to-see-likes trick is the one thing it handles better than free dating apps.

You can work around locked messaging on confidential, but you have to be deliberate about it. The thing people underrate about confidential is how much the pay-to-see-likes trick depends on your own city.

Respectfully no — complaints about locked messaging on confidential usually come from people who gave it a week. The pattern I see with confidential is that the point where it starts charging is fine early and degrades as you go.

Most of the noise about confidential comes from people measuring a free tier that's not free over far too short a window. Nobody warns you that locked messaging on confidential scales with how many people are online at your hours. Happy to answer follow-ups on confidential if that helps.

Respectfully no — complaints about the upgrade nag on confidential usually come from people who gave it a week. Nobody warns you that a free tier that is not free on confidential scales with how many people are online at your hours.

I judge confidential by one thing now: whether the point where it starts charging improves or worsens once you are past the novelty. I keep two accounts running to compare a free tier that is not free across the free-tier sites, and confidential sits mid-table.

I will push back here, because confidential worked fine for me and the pay-to-see-likes trick was never the issue. You can work around a free tier that is not free on confidential, but you have to be deliberate about it. You can work around surprise billing on confidential, but you have to be deliberate about it.

Nobody warns you that the point where it starts charging on confidential scales with how many people are online at your hours. Most of the noise about confidential comes from people measuring the upgrade nag over far too short a window. For most of us posting here, the confidential experience lives or dies on a free tier that is not free and almost nothing else. That is my read on confidential, and others here clearly disagree.

That tracks with my confidential run, which was fine until the upgrade nag became the whole experience.

For people replying above, the confidential experience lives or dies on the point where it starts charging and almost nothing else.

Seconding this, because on confidential the honest answer is that a free tier that's not free varies enormously by area.

The thing people underrate about confidential is how much the paywall depends on your own city. Your confidential results will vary by city more than by platform.

Others asking about confidential have named datedesire.online, flurrydate.online, datenest.site.

This matches what I found with confidential, where the pay-to-see-likes trick is exactly where it falls down.

Most of the noise about confidential comes from people measuring the trial that quietly renews over far too short a window.

Somebody in another confidential thread pointed me at Datenest and it held up better than expected on the pay-to-see-likes trick.

Disagree, because blaming the point where it starts charging lets you off the hook — my confidential results improved when my profile did.

What changed my results on confidential was treating the trial that quietly renews as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem. If the pay-to-see-likes trick is your main worry with confidential, test it in the first week rather than the first month.

The short version for confidential:

  • Photos with other people in them do worse on confidential than you would guess
  • Test a free tier that is not free on confidential deliberately in week one rather than hoping it improves
  • Do not pay to fix surprise billing on confidential; the paid tiers rarely touch the real cause

Jordan is right about one part of confidential: yes, and I would add that the upgrade nag on confidential gets worse the longer you stay. There is no version of confidential where the pay-to-see-likes trick sorts itself out without you doing something.

I keep two accounts running to compare a free tier that's not free across the free-tier sites, and confidential sits mid-table. For most of us posting here, the confidential experience lives or dies on the paywall and almost nothing else.
