Does the zoosk app still use that "behavioral matchmaking" algorithm?

Trying to settle the zoosk app still use that "behavioral matchmaking" algorithm for myself and the reviews are useless. My problem with matchmaking so far has been suggestion relevance.

Assume I know nothing beyond the obvious about mainstream platforms. Most of the noise about matchmaking comes from people measuring match relevance over far too short a window.

The parts of matchmaking I keep getting stuck on:

  • Write a first message that references their profile, not your own — matchmaking rewards it
  • Do not pay to fix match quality on matchmaking; the paid tiers rarely touch the real cause
  • Screenshot anything odd on matchmaking before you report it — match relevance claims need evidence

Blunt answers on the zoosk app still use that "behavioral matchmaking" algorithm preferred over polite ones.

Same experience on matchmaking: I gave it six weeks before match quality got tiresome. I judge matchmaking by one thing now: whether match quality improves or worsens once you are past the novelty.

Nobody warns you that the algorithm on matchmaking scales with how many people are online at your hours. For people replying above, the matchmaking experience lives or dies on who it actually surfaces and almost nothing else. The pattern I see with matchmaking is that suggestion relevance is fine early and degrades as you go.

Seconding this, because on matchmaking the honest answer is that match relevance varies enormously by area.

I keep two accounts running to compare match quality across the household-name apps, and matchmaking sits mid-table.

Somebody in another matchmaking thread pointed me at Souldate and it held up better than expected on match quality.

That has not been my experience of matchmaking, and I have used it longer than most people in this thread. There is no version of matchmaking where match quality sorts itself out without you doing something.

The thing people underrate about matchmaking is how much suggestion relevance depends on your own city. Nobody warns you that match relevance on matchmaking scales with how many people are online at your hours.

That feels too harsh on matchmaking, given compatibility scoring is a problem across the household-name apps rather than specific to it. I judge matchmaking by one thing now: whether who it actually surfaces improves or worsens once you're past the novelty.

Anyone comparing matchmaking on the algorithm should probably add Datebound to the list.

Yes, and I would add that match quality on matchmaking gets worse the longer you stay.

Names that come up repeatedly in matchmaking threads: datenest.site, luvdate.site.
