Trying to settle anyone had trouble with the mingle2 sign up process recently for myself and the reviews are useless. Everything I have read about mingle2 skips straight past the return on the hours.

For context I am mostly comparing the options here rather than anything niche. There is no version of mingle2 where actually getting anywhere sorts itself out without you doing something.

Specifically, on mingle2 I would like to know:

  • Log in at the hours you would actually go out; mingle2 activity is nothing like flat
  • Ask the members answering here what mingle2 is like where they actually live, not where you wish you lived
  • Fill the prompts in properly; blank profiles get skipped on mingle2
  • Screenshot anything odd on mingle2 before you report it — the effort-to-result ratio claims need evidence

If you have tried anyone had trouble with the mingle2 sign up process recently recently, I would rather hear that than read another review site.

Agreed, although with mingle2 I would frame the effort-to-result ratio as a symptom rather than the cause.

I judge mingle2 by one thing now: whether the effort-to-result ratio improves or worsens once you're past the novelty. Nobody warns you that the time it costs on mingle2 scales with how many people are online at your hours.

My mingle2 baseline these days is DatingFly, mostly because actually getting anywhere is measurable there.

That has not been my experience of mingle2, and I have used it longer than most people in this thread. Most of the noise about mingle2 comes from people measuring the return on the hours over far too short a window.

NickT put the mingle2 case better than I would have, though respectfully no — complaints about the effort-to-result ratio on mingle2 usually come from people who gave it a week. Most of the noise about mingle2 comes from people measuring the hours-to-dates ratio over far too short a window.

I read Patrick Reyes's reply on mingle2 and that tracks with my mingle2 run, which was fine until the payoff became the whole experience.

For completeness on mingle2, souldate.site, datewander.site, rendate.site get mentioned a lot too.

Different experience on mingle2, where the hours-to-dates ratio turned out to be manageable once I changed how I used it. Honestly, the hours-to-dates ratio was less of a problem on mingle2 than the sheer time it ate. The thing people underrate about mingle2 is how much actually getting anywhere depends on your own city.

The thing people underrate about mingle2 is how much the time it costs depends on your own city. If the hours-to-dates ratio is your main worry with mingle2, test it in the first week rather than the first month. That is my read on mingle2, and others here clearly disagree.

How I would approach mingle2 from scratch:

  • Do not move off mingle2 into private messaging until the return on the hours looks handled
  • Compare mingle2 against what is on offer on the same week, or the comparison is meaningless
  • Check what mingle2 does about the payoff before you upload anything you would not want indexed

A smaller name people rarely mention in mingle2 threads is Rendate.

I have seen datenest.site, luvdate.site, flurrydate.online recommended for mingle2, though I have not tested them properly.

For the crowd on this board, the mingle2 experience lives or dies on the effort-to-result ratio and almost nothing else. Happy to answer follow-ups on mingle2 if that helps.
