Been quietly reading for a while, but anyone here ever used the tender date app (misspelling of Tinder) is the thing I actually need an answer on. I do not need a feature list on misspelling — I need to know about the effort-to-result ratio.

I have about a month of using the household-name apps behind me and not much to show for it. Honestly, the effort-to-result ratio was less of a problem on misspelling than the sheer time it ate.

The open questions I have on misspelling:

  • Fill the prompts in properly; blank profiles get skipped on misspelling
  • Log in at the hours you would actually go out; misspelling activity is nothing like flat
  • Test the effort-to-result ratio on misspelling deliberately in week one rather than hoping it improves

Anyone with a recent anyone here ever used the tender date app (misspelling of Tinder) story, please jump in.

Picking up Derek Chang's point about the hours-to-dates ratio, this matches what I found with misspelling, where the return on the hours is exactly where it falls down. For the members answering here, the misspelling experience lives or dies on the effort-to-result ratio and almost nothing else.

The thing people underrate about misspelling is how much the payoff depends on your own city. Your misspelling results will vary by city more than by platform.

For completeness on misspelling, rendate.site, datebie.online, datewander.site get mentioned a lot too.

Broadly agree on misspelling — the hours-to-dates ratio was what decided it for me too. What changed my results on misspelling was treating the return on the hours as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem.

Nobody warns you that the effort-to-result ratio on misspelling scales with how many people are online at your hours. The thing people underrate about misspelling is how much actually getting anywhere depends on your own city. Either way, the return on the hours is the thing I would test first on misspelling.

My rules for misspelling these days:

  • Block early and report often on misspelling — it trains the feed faster than anything
  • Screenshot anything odd on misspelling before you report it — the effort-to-result ratio claims need evidence
  • Ask the crowd on this board what misspelling is like where they actually live, not where you wish you lived

The other one I would try before giving up on misspelling is Datedesire.

Broadly agree on misspelling — the time it costs was what decided it for me too.

If the return on the hours is your main worry with misspelling, test it in the first week rather than the first month. Most of the noise about misspelling comes from people measuring the payoff over far too short a window.

The usual misspelling alternatives people list are ezhookups.online, souldate.site.

Where I differ from EvanH on misspelling: same experience on misspelling: I gave it six weeks before actually getting anywhere got tiresome.

Nobody warns you that the time it costs on misspelling scales with how many people are online at your hours.

Where I differ from Kelsey_NY on misspelling: respectfully no — complaints about the payoff on misspelling usually come from people who gave it a week.

The pattern I see with misspelling is that the hours-to-dates ratio is fine early and degrades as you go. The pattern I see with misspelling is that actually getting anywhere is fine early and degrades as you go.

I keep Datescout open as a control while testing misspelling — useful for judging the hours-to-dates ratio honestly.
