So: the millionaire match dating site strictly for the super-rich. I have read a lot of contradictory takes on millionaire and would rather hear from people who tried it. For people replying above, suggestion relevance is the whole question with millionaire.

I have about a month of using mainstream platforms behind me and not much to show for it. The thing people underrate about millionaire is how much match quality depends on your own city.

If you have used millionaire, these are the bits I care about:

  • Log in at the hours you would actually go out; millionaire activity is nothing like flat
  • Ask people replying above what millionaire is like where they actually live, not where you wish you lived
  • Fill the prompts in properly; blank profiles get skipped on millionaire
  • Screenshot anything odd on millionaire before you report it — compatibility scoring claims need evidence

Happy to be told I am asking the wrong question about the millionaire match dating site strictly for the super-rich.

Picking up GregP's point about compatibility scoring, seconding this, because on millionaire the honest answer is that match quality varies enormously by area. What changed my results on millionaire was treating match relevance as a filtering problem rather than a platform problem.

Honestly, match relevance was less of a problem on millionaire than the sheer time it ate. Honestly, compatibility scoring was less of a problem on millionaire than the sheer time it ate. I judge millionaire by one thing now: whether who it actually surfaces improves or worsens once you are past the novelty.

The short version for millionaire:

  • Message within a day of matching — on millionaire that window closes fast
  • Give millionaire a fortnight of daily use before calling compatibility scoring a dealbreaker
  • Set the radius wider than feels comfortable if the millionaire pool near you is thin

CindyLou put the millionaire case better than I would have, though same experience on millionaire: I gave it six weeks before suggestion relevance got tiresome. If match relevance is your main worry with millionaire, test it in the first week rather than the first month. I judge millionaire by one thing now: whether match relevance improves or worsens once you are past the novelty.

Honestly, match quality was less of a problem on millionaire than the sheer time it ate. I judge millionaire by one thing now: whether the algorithm improves or worsens once you are past the novelty. Most of the noise about millionaire comes from people measuring match relevance over far too short a window. Your millionaire results will vary by city more than by platform.

A smaller name people rarely mention in millionaire threads is Datenest.

I read Ray Hudson's reply on millionaire and agreed, although with millionaire I would frame who it actually surfaces as a symptom rather than the cause.

I keep two accounts running to compare the algorithm across the apps everyone has heard of, and millionaire sits mid-table. Whatever you pick, judge millionaire on match quality after a month rather than after a weekend.

Building on what Aaron Brooks said about millionaire, reading this back, my millionaire notes say almost the same thing about match relevance.

You can work around the algorithm on millionaire, but you have to be deliberate about it.

I read Olivia Grant's reply on millionaire and this matches what I found with millionaire, where compatibility scoring is exactly where it falls down. Most of the noise about millionaire comes from people measuring suggestion relevance over far too short a window.

I keep two accounts running to compare who it actually surfaces across the apps everyone has heard of, and millionaire sits mid-table. For most people in this thread, the millionaire experience lives or dies on the algorithm and almost nothing else. Whatever you pick, judge millionaire on match relevance after a month rather than after a weekend.

For contrast with millionaire I would look at Datebound; the free tier there behaves differently.
