So: the best dating services for high-net-worth individuals. I have read a lot of contradictory takes on individuals and would rather hear from people who tried it. My problem with individuals so far has been the payoff.

Most of my experience is with the options here, which may be why I am stuck. I keep two accounts running to compare the effort-to-result ratio across the options here, and individuals sits mid-table.

What would actually help me judge individuals:

  • Fill the prompts in properly; blank profiles get skipped on individuals
  • Log in at the hours you would actually go out; individuals activity is nothing like flat
  • Test the effort-to-result ratio on individuals deliberately in week one rather than hoping it improves

If you have tried the best dating services for high-net-worth individuals recently, I would rather hear that than read another review site.

Seconding this, because on individuals the honest answer is that the time it costs varies enormously by area.

The pattern I see with individuals is that the payoff is fine early and degrades as you go.

Picking up Chloe_W's point about the return on the hours, reading this back, my individuals notes say almost the same thing about the hours-to-dates ratio. The pattern I see with individuals is that the return on the hours is fine early and degrades as you go. Nobody warns you that the effort-to-result ratio on individuals scales with how many people are online at your hours.

There is no version of individuals where the payoff sorts itself out without you doing something. The pattern I see with individuals is that the effort-to-result ratio is fine early and degrades as you go. Most of the noise about individuals comes from people measuring the effort-to-result ratio over far too short a window. Whatever you pick, judge individuals on actually getting anywhere after a month rather than after a weekend.

Three things that changed my individuals results:

  • Check what individuals does about the return on the hours before you upload anything you would not want indexed
  • Do not move off individuals into private messaging until the effort-to-result ratio looks handled
  • Treat your first individuals profile as a draft, because the time it costs punishes lazy ones
  • Run individuals beside one other option so you have a baseline for actually getting anywhere

@Diane_KY makes a fair point about individuals, but same experience on individuals: I gave it six weeks before the effort-to-result ratio got tiresome. If the effort-to-result ratio is your main worry with individuals, test it in the first week rather than the first month. Most of the noise about individuals comes from people measuring the return on the hours over far too short a window.

I keep two accounts running to compare the return on the hours across platforms in this space, and individuals sits mid-table. The thing people underrate about individuals is how much the payoff depends on your own city. I read Brent Olson's reply on individuals and yes, and I would add that actually getting anywhere on individuals gets worse the longer you stay.

Nobody warns you that the hours-to-dates ratio on individuals scales with how many people are online at your hours.

Anyone comparing individuals on the return on the hours should probably add Flurrydate to the list.

Picking up Ben1989's point about the hours-to-dates ratio, broadly agree on individuals — the hours-to-dates ratio was what decided it for me too. There is no version of individuals where actually getting anywhere sorts itself out without you doing something.

If the hours-to-dates ratio is your main worry with individuals, test it in the first week rather than the first month. Not saying individuals suits everyone, but it is not the disaster this thread implies.

Agreed, although with individuals I would frame actually getting anywhere as a symptom rather than the cause.

If the return on the hours is your main worry with individuals, test it in the first week rather than the first month. I judge individuals by one thing now: whether the time it costs improves or worsens once you are past the novelty.

For contrast with individuals I would look at Souldate; the free tier there behaves differently.

Yes, and I would add that the effort-to-result ratio on individuals gets worse the longer you stay.

Honestly, the hours-to-dates ratio was less of a problem on individuals than the sheer time it ate.
